Long time no talking to you all. June kept me busy with a little bit of teaching and Minecraft. Recently, I accepted some commissions for lolita dresses. My first commissions. At the same time, I received my paper so that I have the official right to teach anywhere in the province of Québec. Felt great. As for my next cosplays, I am making a Princess Sakura cosplay and a BJD cosplay, but still searching for my third one. Can't wait to really start not only plan. I will post progress pictures at the end of the week. Have a great summer of craft and fun!

So, even though it's later than what I wanted, here is my con-report of this year AnimeNorth.
I was staying at the Holiday inn and had a great time with all my roomies even though I had a little walk to do to get there. No problem with the hotel room other than the really really small bathroom. And when I mean small, it was difficult for me to close the door and I'm not that big. As for the weather, it was hell. The wind didn't help me to walk. And most of the time, I couldn't see anything. and the coldness. I was freezing to death. At least, my cosplays were a little dressy since the ones I wanted to make before had less clothes. But I discover that my hat for Esther Blanchett stayed on all the way even with the wind. It's a win for me, didn't think it would work. gotta love the wig clips. I had to stay most of the time inside and didn't get the chance to take photos outside because I couldn't move. First year it's so cold and I hope it's the last. As for friends, my roomies were great. Laugh all the way. And a big shoutout to Chiho and her roomie for letting me be with them. It was fun and I learned a lot because of you. I wish to do photoshoots with you in the really near future. Cross finger. I was hosting a photoshoot on the saturday for CLAMP and it was awesome seeing all those beautiful cosplays. Even if we didn't have a lot of people, especially the only Sayoran, it was great to see all those people and laughing with the Kero cosplayer. Here is link to the photos I took ( taken by someone for me) : https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.525984500771232.1073741826.453087508060932&&uploaded=76 Thanks to Lindsey to have come, always a pleasure to see you and talk with you ( and Kyle too). I can't wait for next year, but I don't know yet what I will do for cosplays since I have costume-con in April of that year. Since the wind was my enemy all weekend long, I need to think about photoshoots if I want to show my costumes because to much means no good photos of myself. But don't worry, I have some photoshoots coming and new cosplays for Otakuthon. Next stop, Otakuthon 2013 in Montréal. For the last time before AnimeNorth, I'll do a little update on a lot of things. First, I am almost finish with two cosplays on three cotums and one outfit. Sister Esther cosplay gave me more challenge than what I thought. I am not totally statisfied with the result, but for now it will do. Expect to find a new version next year with more accessories. As for Kendappa, I love her design, but my harp is not the best. I was expecting all these errors since I started everything so late. I need to remember to start sooner and buy everything before two weeks until the convention. Some how, I am not super stressed for the convention, but I can't wait to see everyone again. As for my personnal life, I started working in school and I love it even though the classes I went in were kind of difficult, but teaching is really for me. I hope to meet new friends at AnimeNorth and have a lot of fun.
since I would really love to sell things and as of right now it's not moving, I thought why not open a store online. Well I did. It's on storenvy: http://tsukihimecos.storenvy.com/. Come by and if you see something you want, you can buy them there or come back here and ask about it. I won't show my commissions on there, but I will sell some cosplay accessories. So it was small, but I hope it helps. Also, I will start vlogging because sometimes I want to say a lot more things but to write them it's difficult and takes to much time and space. If you have ideas you want me to talk about, share them and I'll consider it.
Since coming back from Nadeshicon, I decided to continue making felt accessorie since it's fun. I made a teapot, teacup and a piece of cake for my cosplay for Nadeshicon, but I didn't feel like it was enough, so I made today a felt pouch/purse. It was easy to do and I love it. Since it's not expenive and don't take a lot of time to make, if anyone wants one or more, I could sell them for under 15$. I will be starting my costume tomorrow for RG Veda and Sakura soon too, but as for Trinity blood, I'll wait for the wig that hasn't come yet.
As the title says, I just finish today my studies. I am almost officialy a teacher, just waiting for a paper. This means I'll have more time for cosplays and commission and myself. I am really happy about that and can't wait to start my real life. Also, I'll had some felt plush and food to my commissions list since I discovered that I'm fast at making them. I'll show you in a next post the tings I did and that I will sell if anyone wants any. Hopefully my commissions are going to become more than what I have now. Also, con season is starting this saturday with Nadeshicon. But, I'll wear a cosplay from last year that I don't have a lot of photos for, so expect some photos. Well, for now, that's all I got to say. Happy w
A quick update to show you what I just made. It's a beautiful necklace and a bracelet that I will wear at a cousin wedding next week. I discovered that I love making some simple necklace. This necklace will be put in comission/buy the same if anyone wants one.
Here my first accessory for my second cosplay for AnimeNorth. For now, I'll keep it like that, but I might make a new one. It's made out of craft foam for financial reason. Also, just a reminder to the cosplayers reading that are going to AnimeNorth, I'm hosting a photoshoot for Clamp characters and hopefully I can get a lot of people. And I take suggestions for poses. As for now, Chii and Kendappa-o are confirmed. some more WIPs coming soon.
Recently, I tried knitting and crochet. Crochet wasn't successful yet, so nothing is coming, though knitting is a winner. I'm currently making some bows and I'll probably make Mio arm warmer since I have the yarn for it. So I can add simple things knitted and cute things. I'll post picture whenever it's finish. So anyone wants a bow they'll be between 10$ and 20$ depending on the size. Also, my photoshoot for CLAMP on the Saturday is official, so I hope to have a lot of people over there. I'll be starting my cosplays soon, I'm still waiting for some fabric, but I don't think they'll be that difficult. So, yeah that's pretty much it. Happy Easter everyone!
For the first time in my life, I am going to host a photoshoot for Clamp characters at Anime North 2013. I thought I could change my convention life a little bit. so anyone that wants to come, it's free and will be fun.
As for my cosplay in my last list, some friends told me to choose the one with the candles, but in the end I can't make it because of lack of material in my region. I thought of another one, but yet I have to think about it. Thanks to my friends for their help. |
